It is sad to see so many people in this day and age who still hold firmly to the belief that failure is bad.
Good things happen to bad people, good things happen to good people.
Bad things happen to bad people and bad things happen to good people.
It is time to leave this woeful way of thinking behind us and to start understanding that failure is only a stepping stone away from success!
It is now the time to redefine how we see failure. Not as a colossal inability to achieve but rather as the learning mechanism that it is meant to be.
"Anyone who has never made a mistake has never tried anything new." - Albert Einstein.
One of the worlds most remarkable minds put that quote down into history. If you never try anything new, you will not make a mistake and fail. Conversely, you will never achieve anything new!
Fear Of Failure
The fear of failure, being laughed at and being told 'I told you so." has chained many brilliant people with brilliant ideas from ever taking the plunge. Do not let this idiotic, irrational fear gain a hold in your life. Embrace it for what it is. Only when you have truly embraced it will you ever be able to live with it.
Failure as we have come to know it today is only truly a failure if you fail to take heed of the lessons that were place before you to be learned.
Remember always that the latest inventions, the greatest minds, the best pictures, the most worthy of Nobel winners, the greatest scientists all have one thing in common:
They push the envelope further than anyone has before and you can be guaranteed that they will fail and fail miserably.
They however, do not give up! They continue on 'through' the failures and use the lessons learnt from each one to get one step closer to their elusive goals.
Do the same with whatever endeavor you choose. Aim higher than you thought possible and then move the bar up a few more notches.
Kick start yourself on the path to your goal. Don't focus on the pitfalls and the failures. Learn from each one and continue on your journey.
When all is said and done, you can look back at the path taken and be amazed just how far you have come!
At the end of your time on this lonely little planet it doesn't matter what station you were born in, the only thing matters is what you have achieved.
What about luck? I hear you say? Does luck not play a major part in this?
Of course it does! A HUGE part!
Always remembering of course, that luck is when those who are prepared, take advantage of the opportunity placed in front of them.
It may not be the end goal you originally had planned but I can guarantee that it will be the end goal that you love.
So live life and enjoy every moment of it.
Embrace the possibility of failure - it is but another stepping stone on the Road To Success!
